Koombea is working on a yet-to-be-released credit card product for the Colombian market. We’re looking for people to join us in disrupting the market with innovative and exciting fintech products. 

The Job

You will be part of a small and nimble team with a mission to disrupt the corporate credit card industry in Colombia and Lat Am. You’d work closely with our product team in designing and implementing fintech products. We need you to be self-learning, curious while bringing your experience and finance knowledge into the team. 

We want to create a new breed of product unlike others in the market, where we put the customer first. Balancing past experience with new challenges will be key to success in this role. 

What You’ll Do

  • Create a connection between the business and the core systems of the credit card product (onboarding, stamp, management, authorization and operations, exchange and disputes, settlement and management of payments and defaults).
  • Interact with various areas, especially technology, operations, and credit card management system providers (processors, vendors, franchises).
  • Identify local needs, draw and implement solutions between core systems and operations.
  • Guarantee the "tropicalization" of the core systems of the credit card product.
  • Train the local team for changes and features in the core systems of the credit card product.
  • Draw processes together with the operations and service areas to guarantee efficiency and effectiveness in the use of the core systems of the credit card product.
  • Use Project Management with relevant stakeholders to advance projects that impact the core systems of the credit card product.
  • Support in the parameterization of the core systems of the credit card product, especially in defining solutions for business problems, minimizing the cost of new developments.
  • Monitor the proper functioning of the core systems of the credit card product.
  • Implementation of quality control of changes and new features of the core systems of the credit card product.
  • Definitions of requirements for suppliers of the core systems of the credit card product and product and technology teams, considering needs and building consensus with all stakeholders.
  • Track and prioritize tickets with operational incidents (clarifications and controversies) and evolutionary projects that impact the core systems of the credit card product.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Professional in administrative areas, engineering, or related.
  • Experience in the development of transactional and/or credit card products, desirably, in product areas, life cycle management, transactional monitoring, or operations of banking entities of the mass or corporate segment.
  • Knowledge of financial products, project management, desirable use of Office, Access, excellent spelling, and writing.
  • Skills in the spirit of service, responsibility, integrity, teamwork, customer and goal orientation, quality of work, continuous learning, tolerance for frustration.
